Meal Deliveries for Students

We will begin delivering breakfast and lunch for students along our regular bus routes tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18th. Buses will begin their breakfast delivery routes at approximately 8:00 a.m. Lunch routes will begin at 11:30 a.m.

It is difficult to estimate what time the bus will be at your stop. We encourage parents and students to watch for their bus. We ask parents to please be patient as we work on making this process as efficient as possible.

In addition, students may pick up meals from the bus parking lot at all of our schools, except Edgecombe Early College. Meals will be available for students to pick up between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for lunch. #weareECPS

South Edgecombe Remote Learning Plan

Attention Dragons! Please see our plan for Remote Learning below. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

South Edgecombe Remote Learning Plan

All teachers will be posting assignments on Google Classroom. If students do not have internet access, or if they do not have a device, printed lessons can be picked up from the Pinetops or Tarboro libraries beginning Wednesday, March 18. We ask that only students who do not have internet access utilize the printed work packet option. Students who have internet access, but do not have a device should contact the school to checkout a chromebook on a first come, first served basis. This can be done from 8:00-11:00 today (Tuesday, March 17).

ECPS is still working on a plan in which buses will deliver both meals and printed work packets. Please stay tuned for further details from ECPS.

Information regarding Google Classroom and Remote Learning Assignments:

All students already have the username and password needed to access Google classroom. This is the same log-in information that is used daily to access student chromebooks. If students are having trouble accessing any online learning platform, they should reach out to their teacher via e-mail for assistance. When assignments, or announcements, are posted, students will get a notification by email. Teachers will be available for student support from 8:00 until 4:00 daily if students need help with assignments or if they have questions. Students should check Google Classroom daily. Our phone system has been updated so that students/parents can leave messages for teachers on their extension. Teachers will receive the message by email and will respond accordingly. Students with internet access and a device do not need to pick-up a printed packet. Printed packets are only available for students without internet access.

Printed packets can be picked up at the Pinetops and Tarboro libraries on Wednesday. Buses will deliver packets with meals according to the ECPS meal distribution plan that will be announced. Packets contain enough work for the duration of this closure.

Please remember that the school will be open from 8:00-11:00 today (Tuesday, March 17) for students and parents to pick-up medication, personal items, and chromebooks (if needed).
