Meet Our Administrators

 

Billy Strother- Principal Mr. Strother began his teaching career at Tarboro High School in 2000, where he was a health and physical education teacher. He also taught at C.B. Martin Middle School and Martin Millennium Academy. Mr. Strother was the Teacher of the Year for Edgecombe County Public Schools in 2013. He served as an Administrative Intern and Assistant Principal at SouthWest Edgecombe High School from 2015-2017. Mr. Strother earned his MSA as a Northeast Leadership Academy Fellow at North Carolina State University.

Ivory Creecy - Assistant Principal Ms. Creecy brings 28 years of experience to South which includes serving as a classroom teacher, a Reading Specialist and an Instructional Coach.  She spent the last two years as the Assistant Principal of G.W. Carver Elementary and is also an instructor at Martin Community College.    She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Masters of School Administration and Curriculum Specialist from East Carolina University.   "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
