Who is Mrs. Anderson?

Welcome back to a new school year and welcome to middle school here at South Edgecombe. My name is Robin Anderson and I will be teaching Social Studies in the 7th grade this year.

I want to take a moment to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Edgecombe County. I attended Carver Elementary School, went on to middle school at South Edgecombe, and high school at SouthWest Edgecombe, all in Pinetops, NC. While working as a teacher’s assistant at G.W. Bullock Elementary, I began my studies to become a classroom teacher. I graduated with a Bachelors in Middle School Education from Barton College, in Wilson, NC. I taught 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies here at South Edgecombe for 10 years, before taking a year off to complete my Masters degree in Administration.

I am the mother of three children, Brian (35), Nicholas (27), and Mason (24). I have three beautiful granddaughters as well; Kailey (11), Brilynn (9), and Ella (4). It is my goal to continue to live in Edgecombe County so I may work to instill the love of community that being raised and educated here has afforded me.

As a parent and a grandparent, I appreciate the commitment parents in this community have in giving their children the best education they need to grow into well-rounded, productive citizens. This is my commitment as well. My goal is to continue this commitment by working with administrators here in Edgecombe County, growing the tradition of excellence in education.

I look forward to working with you and your child in making sure that their time here at South Edgecombe is a success. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have and know that I will do the same. You can contact me at South at 252-827-5083 or through my email at [email protected].

Thank you for sharing your children with me. I know we are going to have an awesome
year!

Educationally yours,

Mrs. Anderson
